Rose City is a city in Ogemaw County within the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 653 at the 2010 annual official population poll. Houghton Creek, a tributary of the Rifle River, flows through portion of the city limits.

In 1875, when Allen S. Rose relocated to Michigan from New York State so as to open up a general store, Rose City started out as the town of Churchill. In 1892, it was renamed Rose City after the founder.
